HGA Teach-It-Forward Grant Regulations

HGA Teach-It-Forward Grant, established in 2003, will be awarded to an individual for his/her effort in making the crafts of weaving and spinning accessible to new weavers or spinners and in teaching beginners. This grant is available to any individual who teaches spinning and/or weaving in a private studio, shop, school, etc. It is available to an individual who is doing an exceptional job of bringing new people to the craft and who has an innovative plan or proposal for enlarging or increasing the scope of teaching weaving and/or spinning.

Proposal

Applicants should note their past teaching history; the types of venues where they have taught; samples of teaching curricula and promotional materials from the applicant's past teaching experiences, including profiles, number and return rate of students per program.
The application should include a statement of purpose or objective; how the recipient will measure the objective; how the objective will be carried out; and items that need to be in place to achieve this objective.
