Yardage Exhibit: Truckee River

Truckee River Yardage Exhibit

Entry Closed

Exhibit: July 6-12, 2018, Peppermill Resort, Reno, Nevada

Yardage C016Take your inspiration for yardage from the fluid motion of waters that flow through the heart of Reno. Truckee River is an international juried exhibit featuring lengths of woven, constructed and/or embellished yardage. Any fiber arts technique may be used.

Juror: Marcy Petrini

Marcy Petrini is currently a contributing special features writer for "Right from the Start" in Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot magazine. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Craftsman Guild of Mississippi, Inc. in 2016 for her teaching, jurying and other service.  She has been teaching weaving and other fiber topics for over 45 years.

HGA seeks to feature work which is not only of the highest caliber in craftsmanship and technical ability but which also transcends the ordinary, expresses creative design beyond process, and is visually exciting.

The juror will independently screen all images and make the preliminary selection of all work in the exhibition. Entries will be evaluated on concept, design, technique, craftsmanship and creative exploration.

Accepted work is subject to final approval by the juror's representative after the actual work arrives at the Peppermill Resort. Work that exceeds the size limitation and/or differs significantly from the digital image representing it will be ineligible for the exhibition and returned to the artist.

Submission to Truckee River implies that the artwork represented on the digital images will be, if chosen by the juror, available for the exhibition and that the artist understands that all accepted work, without exception, must remain for the duration of the exhibition.

Three pieces may be entered per artist. Works exhibited in previous Convergence Conference® exhibits are not eligible.

Submitted work is limited to works made using fiber techniques (interlaced, felted, stitched, dyed, coiled, knotted, pulled, spun, etc.) and can be of any material. All work must be of exhibition quality, completed within the last two years (since January 2016), and not previously published in any national or international print publication.
